Who are we?

The Manitoba Zero Tillage Research Association (MZTRA) Research Farm is located 12 miles North of Brandon, MB at the corner of #10 highway and the Brookdale Road (#353). Founded in 1993, the MZTRA is a non-profit, producer directed association which addresses zero tillage production problems through field scale research.

The farm is a center for learning and exchanging information on reduced tillage practices. Research on the farm focuses on cropping systems, following the implementation of a long term annual cropping rotation and livestock based rotation. Research is conducted by Agriculture and Agri-food Canada, the University of Manitoba, and Manitoba Agriculture Food and Rural Initiatives. The association itself also conducts many in house research projects on the farm.
